First in a Decade

My bestie has recently gotten a few tattoos. I told her when she started that they are addicting, and she now concedes that I'm right. Anyway, on a river trip not too long ago we decided that we should get bestie tats. Not matching, cuz we're not really all about that, but similar and in a similar place. She made the appointment with the artist who did 3 of her tats, and Friday night we went to the studio at 8, started mine at 10, finished hers at about 4, and got home at 5. That's, we got to the shop at 8pm, started mine at 10pm, finished hers at 4AM, and got back to her place at 5 AM. I can't remember the last time I stayed up until 5am with no alcohol involved. My hubbs makes fun of me for having a bedtime and we stayed up WAY past it. It was totally worth it, tho.

So J and I spent the weekend down in San An with bestie and her hubby. It was a nice weekend away. We went for tacos at velvet taco on Saturday. 

And then went back to their house for more drinks and movie watching. We watched deadpool and wolverine and then French kiss. Then J and I caught up on some sleep. On Sunday we headed home after we went to a fun game store and Pashas.

As tattoos heal under the sani derm, the ink and plasma have nowhere to go, so we had to giggle over our bags of yuck. 

these are supposed to stay on for 5-7days, tho the sloshing feels REAL weird, so I'm not sure if it's gonna make it that long. 

Unfortunately on Sunday I tried to throw my back out... don't ask why, apparently I wasn't in enough pain already what with the gallbladder issue acting up, the arrival of Flo, and the new tat, I also had to add a back issue to the mix. So far it's not debilitating, but it might be time to see my chiro. Sigh. Anyway, j and I made it home, we are exhausted, and Ace was quite happy to see us.

He had to be sure it was safe before he came out.

Updates

Well, last weekend we were at a wedding, which was absolutely lovely. Our friends C and D tied the knot in the most D&D way possible. It was beautiful.

They are a beautiful couple, and we had a great time. It was a long day and we were honored to be part of their entourage.

Its been nice for me to be home again. It's funny because I don't feel like I've been here much lately. Nov is going to be busy, as is Dec, so I took advantage of this weekend having no plans. We ended up going out on sat and about halfway thru Kroger I was exhausted. It's kinda sad, really. I can't blame the jet lag anymore so now I'm blaming daylight savings. Sunday was cute cuz hubby had to go to work. Before he went he asked me what my plans were. I was sitting on the couch in my pjs, watching a Disney movie and I told him "you're looking at em." I have a phone date with my bestie later, but otherwise I do not plan on leaving the apt. I'm gonna eat food, watch movies, doze, and be a bum. Later I'll take a shower and go to bed. That's it. All the plans. I've already prepped the food and outfits for the week, so I'm all good.

I got 2 lunches out of this, so I'll plan on 1 snackie lunch and 1 order from storiebook. 😁 it's gonna be a good week. 

This weekend we'll be in San An, so no promises on a post. My bestie and I are finally getting tattooed together 🥰 it's been well over a decade since my last one. Sigh. Way too long. 

As for things going on elsewhere, I'm finally able to process some of the last month or so. It's been kinda crazy... I'm still trying to come to terms with all of it. I'm looking forward to some routine life crap. Unfortunately there was the sudden death of a friend from high school last week that reminded me how fleeting life can be. So I send my love to my readers, my friends, my family, those I love and can't see often enough... my heart is heavy. We had lost touch, but there was no bad blood between us and I hate that I won't see her when I go home next time. I sometimes think the Reaper likes Fremont county more than other places. Which is crazy, I'm sure... tho it seems he's more active there sometimes. As I said, my heart is heavy... too many deaths of friends from back home... makes me want to wrap all of you in bubble wrap! And not only the WY ones... if you are in my ❤️ I wanna wrap you in bubble wrap and feed you water from the fountain of youth! As it is, just know that I love you, and i miss you. I look forward to the next time we can be together, and I hope that life is treating you well. All my love, for forever and always. I miss you.
