It's been kinda crazy work-wise. I started a collaborative study program to prepare for my CPHQ exam (that's certified professional of Healthcare quality, basically a bunch of letters after my name saying I officially know how to do my job), and I'm learning a LOT about how I can do better at work. Monday I also start a class out of UT Arlington on rural grant writing. No certification for that one, but more $ for the hospital is always a good thing. So I'm working on improving my position at work, which is stressful and exciting and exhausting. I've got ideas, and I'm working on plans to make them happen. Keep me in your prayers, please.
Home life continues to be a learning experience, and also a total blast. We had a weekend of dating this past weekend that was amazing. After dealing with the van on Friday AM we got out the date dice to decide on where to have dinner and then went to see deadpool and wolverine. Saturday we went to a new coffee shop in town, then to home depot and Kroger, then had dinner and movie night at home until D called from Korea and I chatted with him while J played borderlands.
I got the Mexican mocha, J got head in the clouds. We both got their bfast burritos, but those really weren't anything special.
We are learning each other's quirks and all those things you don't know about a person until you share a living space with them. It's an adventure, for sure. I think J is going to figure out a block and tackle set up for the balcony so we don't have to haul groceries up the stairs all the time. I was wearing a long dress yesterday and did end up stepping on it and falling up the stairs with the groceries. And yes, that's why he had the eggs 😄. Don't worry, I didn't break anything, didn't even scuff the skin. My stainless steel water cup took the brunt of the damage.
This coming weekend (Labor Day) I'll have to take Monday off since it's a holiday and work doesn't want to pay me holiday pay, so the bestie and I have decided to make it a bestie weekend at the river. It seems to have worked out because the hubbs D&D group wants to meet for an epic game night, so wins all around. Tho I think we'll miss each other. This really was a lovely weekend of marital bliss. We even perused the Halloween section at Home Depot and OMG... let's just say when we get a house, it's ON, it's ON like Addams Family with a 20 ft skeleton! Hehe.
We have survived the hottest week of the summer, and Temps are set to start going down from here on out, which I am SO ready for. The sweater dresses and leggings are on stand by... ready for the 60s and 70s. Leaving behind the 100s. Tho honestly this summer wasn't terrible. We had a lot of rain, which was amazing. Hope all of you are doing well and keeping cool. Hugs and love, MUAH! 😘
