A night with Sully Erna

Three and a half hours down to Houston, drinks at the Louisiana Drinkery, meeting Sully, great conert, three and a half hour drive back, in at 4am... it was a good day!  My sister is going to be leaving me at the end of the summer, so we're going to try to make this summer as epic as possible.  Meeting Sully was my "Welcome Home" gift.  Turns out, get me next to a rock god and I kinda clam up, get all shakey and feel SUPER awkward!  All I could say was "I can't believe I met you!"  So without any further adieu... my amateur concert photography!

Pre- concert and road trip.  I wanted to look good cuz it's so rare to go to an indoor concert with no jumping around or mosh pits!

They ended the show singing a Janice Joplin song and the Beatles "Hey Jude."  It was soo cool singing "Na, Naaaa, Naaaaaaaa, Na na na naaaaaaaa" together.

Music bring us together, it speaks when we don't have the words, it makes us feel when we've buried our feelings too deep for us to retrieve again.  Music enriches our lives.  I can't imagine my life without it.  My best advice?  Don't limit yourself to one genre, broadening your musical horizon will help to broaden your mind - and a narrow mind is a WONDERFUL thing to lose!
