Hehehe
I'm including this pic because I think it's a beautiful picture of the nachos!
This was my lunch - nachos and a margarita. Dad says I might have been disappointed because I'd had my chili the night before and that was all spicy and wonderful.
But as you can see, I enjoyed all the food immensely. Hehee.
So I've been kinda bummed lately mostly because of all the changes coming along, not the least of which is J going home. Then on Tuesday we got our new calendars. Something about having the official calendar, which ends on the day that my contract ends, made all the difference. Somehow I felt a lightening of my spirit.
There it is. My last 3 months in Korea. There's also quite a few red days (days off) which made me really excited. The last time we had any time off was during Chuseok which was at the end of Sept/beginning of Oct. I know it doesn't seem like much, but a random day off here and there helps a LOT with the feeling of being burned out, and I am. I'm burned the heck OUT. It's not really the kids, it's the rest of it all. Just being bored with the lessons, tired of the admin stuff, tired of not knowing when we'll be online or have the kids in class, tired of some of the other things that go with working with people. It's been a good experience, and I do love the kids, but I'll be happy to start my next chapter. The one thing that now has me freaked out about taking the FSOT is that it's avail during immersion. Immersion is our OT - we start teaching at 10am, go until 1pm, break for lunch, then have usual classes from 2:25-7, and go home at 8. Makes for a LONG day and I'm crossing my fingers that there are Sat or Sun options for the test. I'm also hoping that Corona doesn't mess with the test. Frankly, there's just a lot of stuff that I'm not in control of and that's tough on a control freak!!! I may be focusing on the few things I can control... I was looking up basic statistics the other day as part of the prep for the test. It's gonna be an interesting few months.
So the rest of the country seems to have gone to social distancing 2, which means that my trip this weekend should still be on. Crossing my fingers, because it looks amazing and I'd like to see J(S) again. We'll probably try another vegan place. Hehe - good thing I like veggies. Then Mass with J again, and a new place to find for lunch. Cafes being just take out does kinda suck... I miss being able to sit with my coffee. Ah well, they do what they can to stop the 'rona going nuts. We shall see what we shall see. Also, thank God for thermals... it's officially that time of year. Stay warm my friends, much love, MUAH :*
