We went to the lumberyard for dinner when they first came in because it was dog friendly. Hubbs and I had never been there, so it was a bit of a gamble. It paid off. The drinks were good, as were the nachos. The pups were VERY welcome, and it was a good introduction to Burleson.
Friday we had planned to go to Anamias for lunch and then we went to the flagship half price books store. I had read online where they were opening a tiki bar in the bookstore! We simply HAD to experience that! So we left kit at home and only took Cake. We ate on the patio with the pup (the weather has been PERFECT), then went to the bookstore.
We made our way back to home for the evening and the next day was Irish Fest!
Hiking our way to the fair grounds. We had to park out in the boonies. The good news is that we were in the little boonies. The big boonies were even FARTHER away.
It was a nice day of a LOT of walking. At least 2 of us are sore today. After the Fest we decided to get dinner, so hubbs and i took everyone to cocina frescoes. They LOVED it. Brother in law liked the habenero salsa and he loved the pechuga con Pollo he ordered. Then we went and shopped around Geek Out for a while before coming back home. All in all, it was a good weekend.
Sunday everyone headed out early so we cleaned, put things back for the kitty, and since it was the first sunday of the month, I also changed sheets and such. Took the comforter off the bed since it's warmed up again and put on just a blanket. Now all that's left is grocery shopping and meal prep.
I had to go to the dentist on Friday to get my cavities filled, so I did that in the early AM while everyone was sleeping. They really want me to get a night guard, but I'm not willing to shell out $500 for one quite yet. My last deep cleaning is 2 weeks away when D&C will be here, but again that's going to be in the early AM so there shouldn't be any issues. I have one last hormone test as there is in fact a thing on my pituitary gland, but no one thinks it's a big issue and after this I'll just have a follow up MRI in a year or so. The follow up with the neurologist is in April and then I have my yearly and then I'm DONE with docs for a while. Your gal is TIRED of being poked and prodded and tested. I'm DONE for a bit. The funny thing about the last test is that I have to take a pill tonight at 11 and then be tested in the AM. Guess how much I paid for the pill. $0.60! Lmao. Cheapest prescription EVER.
I hope all of you are having a good day preparing for the week as I am. Remember to eat healthy, move your body around, lift the heavy things, and then burn it all to the ground because none of it makes a damn bit of difference anyway! Lol... yeah, the fitness and I are NOT getting along at the moment. Things are supposed to go DOWN when you work out, not UP. 😡🤬 take care of each other and tell people you love em. Hugs and love from beautiful TX! It's open window weather here!! 😁
