Transitioning

I am attempting to become a morning workout person.

Monday, day 1. Alarm at 5, kissed hubby goodbye, set 2nd alarm for 530. 530 alarm, shut off, dozed... dreams included: I already got up and worked out, I was getting ready with the curtains open and saw my neighbors seeing me necked, I was trying to weigh myself but the scale came back with #s like 98 or 135 so I had to try to fix it (cuz thats NOT lbs), got up at 547. Bathroom, workout clothes, started infinity hoop at 552, done at 622, shower, confuse the cat, work clothes, coffee, out the door at 642.
What were you doing in the shower at this time of day?? Don't you do this at night???

Tuesday, day 2. Alarm at 5. Kiss hubby goodbye, up at 507. Bathroom, workout clothes, start hooping at 515 (music thru record player, play with weights while hooping, pause to shut off 530 alarm) done at 550, stretching until 6 when coffee maker kicks on. Cat "helps" with stretching, but not a fan of being the weight when I do squats. Shower, get ready for work, play with cat as well... he is freaking out and NOT a fan of the new routine. Scoop the litter box, out the door at 640.

Also A came to have lunch! We had sammiches at Baked! In Glen rose. If you ever have a chance, GO. The sandwiches were SO GOOD!!!
What is so great about this thing? Why is mom using it in the morning? Is there something for me in it?

Wednesday, day 3. Alarm at 5 after a horrible dream that A had died. Kissed hubbs goodbye, set 2nd alarm for 630, rethought and set for 6. Decided to take a rest day, as my abs and thighs BURN. 2nd alarm at 6, up at 615, got coffee, played with Ace (who seemed to enjoy the fact that we were back to semi-routine), gave him a delectable for breakfast, had my coffee, got ready for work. Out by 640. We'll hoop again tomorrow.

Had dinner with my old boss at Jimmies in Cleburne. It's a chef-owned restaurant and have the ONLY excuse for an all-online menu. Their menu changes every week based on what's in season. So, an online menu is acceptable. I had the seared tuna, broccoli, and sautéed mushrooms. OMG, so good!!
Wrestled this beast into the car and up the stairs. Then noticed the "caution, consider using 2 people to lift." Oops. Lol... gonna put it together soon!

Thursday, day 4 (its not that I think you can't count, its for dramatic effect). Alarm at 5, kissed hubby goodbye, 2nd alarm at 510. Up, bathroom, hooping by 517, done at 548. Shower, coffee, check bank balance, journal a bit, play with kitty cat. Out by 640.
Do I have a cup problem??

After work I had to get my inspection and oil change, then to HEB for a few things. Hubby met me there for an impromptu grocery date. I still need to change the spark plugs in the car, and now that it's not so godawful hot, I think it's a good time for it. Question is, should I make hubby go with me to get the things?? Hmmm. 🤔 we got WAY more stuff around HEB than I had planned... oops. Also, my legs are SORE. I was tired when we got home, but I needed to do laundry, so I stayed up until it was done. Sigh. It never ends.

Now for, a lesson in misunderstandings.
Me: "my legs HURT. I think I'll take tomorrow off."
Hubby: "YES, YES! That's what I'm talking about! Absolutely, you should."
Me, realizing: "oh no, honey. I mean take tomorrow off from working out, I'm still going to work."
Hubby: "... DAMN."
Lol... kinda sucks when your days off don't TOTALLY mesh. However working similar schedules has been WONDERFUL.

Friday, day 5. Alarm at 5. Legs sore. Reset alarm for 6. Got up, got ready for work, petted the kitty, hugged and kissed the hubby, out the door at 640. Wearing resistance leggings, so legs are working harder today anyway. Down 2.2 lbs from Monday (I'll take it).
Secret NSFW shirt at work!

Bring on the weekend! Date night at frescoes cocina, wandering the farmers market, nightcap at twisted Sisters, and arrival of college friend C and her eldest daughter, F.
A unicorn. So goooood
Don't drink and shop...
Or do, because if this isn't the pic of a teen, I don't know what is
We were pirates at scarby hollow!
My friend from Chicago came down with her 10 year old middle child.
FIRE!!
Over 20 years of friendship. 😁

Sunday is Mass, then have breakfast, then go to the fall festival at the church, then the cattle drive at the stockyards. It's been interesting having a 10 yr old around. Thank goodness we have coloring books.
