Busan trip!

So after immersion week, we decided to head to Busan for a weekend of the beach, some fun, and meeting up with D and N from Jeju!  Now the problem, as I've realized too late, is that I have no pix of me and D.  He is a fantastic man who is amazing and lovely and a wonderful human.  I really can't say too many good things about him.  I also got to hang out with N, who I also met at Jeju and who told me that I am a Texan, no matter what I say about it.  She is truly a Texan queen in Korea.  Quite frankly, it was nice to be able to hang out with them again and Busan was lovely.  So A, H, J, and I all headed to Busan after work on that Friday.  It was a long train ride, and train stations are the same all over the world, in case you are wondering.
Here we are the day after the train, we are heading to the BEACH!
The BEACH!  We didn't realize that there was a foreigner's area until D and N got there.  I am really sorry that I missed out on getting pix of them... I promise, it won't happen again.
So I loved Busan - the beach right next to the city.
I mean, it's not every day that I see something like this.
The obligatory feet int he sand with the surf pic.
I had fun playing with the zoom on the camera to get this pic.
Me on the beach, in the surf.
J and A hanging in the sun.
A again... the sand was really nice, btw.  Tho the water was kinda cold.
J is so cute - she calls her suit 'bathers' cuz Aussies just HAVE to abbreviate everything.
H decided to bury J.
SHE'S A HEAD!  LOL
FREEDOM!!!!
So them we went to Galmegi... Calmegi... brewery for lunch - you can barely see D sitting across from me.  This was a really good brew - and it was nice to have lunch in a brewery-type setting.
My pulled pork pizza.  This was SO GOOD!  As you can see, I was hungry by the time it came cuz I nearly forgot the obligatory food pic.
Me feeling good post-dip and booze.  Sand in the hair and I just don't care.
So after this we went out and had more drinks, some dancing, met some people, had a good time, basically.  I ended up taking off with D to hang out one-on-one.  We got some brews from a convenience store and hung out at his place.

The next day - this was a hazelnut beer.  It was sweet... I drank it thru a straw.  It was one of the weirdest experiences of my life!!
A with the chicken.
So A and H took off to the beach again and J and I decided to see a bit more of the coast.  We took a taxi to some observatory post.  It was the part of Korea where the East sea meets the South sea.  J has issues with heights... but she still went on the glass bottomed bridge.
The area is just amazingly beautiful.
So green, and so peaceful to sit and listen to the waves crash, feel the ocean breeze.  Not gonna lie, I've been thinking of applying to work at the same place as D and N.  I like the area, I like them, and it could be fun to live 5 mins from a beach for a while.
The fence says not to lean on it.  I guess some things you just can't count on.  LOL.
I thought the heart shaped rock was funny - this was at the sky deck.  So I'm standing on glass, looking down.
The view from the sky deck.
I think I like coastlines - where the sea meets the land... the borderlines of the world.
Again, view looking down.  I'm not sure how rare it is to have no problem with heights, but I've found while living here that there are plenty of people who have a HUGE problem with them.  I like being up high... as long as I'm standing on something solid.  I'd consider rock climbing, but I'd def need a partner with the rope... and sky diving is on my bucket list, but that's gonna be a while before I can afford it.
Obligatory pic.  The hair was NOT cooperating between the wind and everything.  I'm experimenting with taking my selfies more face-on and less from up.  My sis tells me that I have a sharp chin... based on the pic she recently sent me, it's a family trait!  LOL
The sky deck with a ferry in the background.  I like this pic...
Playing with perspective.
More playing with perspective.
Lunch beer.  This was a really nice Hefe with peach flavors.
They had a taco salad on the menu and I couldn't resist.  It wasn't bad, but would have been better with some chicken or beef or SOME kind of meat in it.
And after lunch we met up with A and H and headed back to Dongtan.  It was a quick weekend of beach, shenanigans, and for me, losing my camera battery charger.  But D and I were able to spend a good amount of time together hanging out at his place and listening to music and solving the world's problems.

Funny thing about that weekend - we left on Friday after work and by the time we got to the hostel, I was EXHAUSTED.  I got up into my bunk, and I thought 'crap, I still have to take my hair down.'  Momentarily forgetting that my hair was not up, it was gone.  It's one of the weirdest things about it being this short now, every now and then I think it's just up in an up-do (think wedding-style), and I remember what a pain it is to take it all out.  It's a strange feeling to go from having long hair all my life (or pseudo-long anyway) to having it be gone.
