The next day, T had to go to work so A and I went to see the USS Lexington. It. Was. Awesome!! I'll try to just share my absolute fav pix, but bear with me cuz (of course) I took a LOT.
After the Lexington we were a little hungry so I found a brewery and we went for some appetizers before dinner.
T got off work and we went to the surfing crab where we all got shrimp boils. You could choose the protiens, then the seasonings, then the spice level. Potatoes and corn are automatically included, then we chose to include mushrooms and broccoli as well. Next time we'll add the ramen too cuz... YUM!!!
After dinner we went back to Ts apt to have some drinks and watch some movies before bed.
The next day T took us to the aquarium and dropped us off (he has a membership, so it's cheaper that way). We spent a long time there, it was really neat.
After the aquarium we went back to Ts and picked him up, then went to a huge flea market for a while. After the flea market we needed a snackie snack so we went to a restaurant on the water. Here's where I failed because I didn't get pix of the food or the drinks. You're gonna have to trust me, the nachos were AMAZING. And margaritas were $5 all day, every day. If you find yourself in Corpus, I highly recommend going to Harrisons landing. It's just down the pier from the Selena memorial.
After that we went back to the apt and picked up As dog and went to the beach. At 9 years old her pup got to experience wild water (not pool water). She was unsure at first, but swam back to the shore in the end. Then she got a wild case of the ZOOMIES and got sand ALL OVER. Thank goodness we found the outdoor shower to rinse off.
After that Ts wife A took us around the more fancy area of town to see some of the BIG beach houses. Then it was dark so we went back to the apt where T was hard at work cooking. He made us steak, shrimp, bacon wrapped scallops, and grilled zucchini. The man is one helluva cook!! After drinking and talking we went to sleep.
We got up the next AM and headed back north via Bay City to swing by some of As relatives. Made me laugh since I learned to talk in Bay City back when I was a baby child. Then we came on home after a quick stop in West for baked goods (as you do).
When A dropped me off, my lovely man came over to spend some time with me and I fell asleep watching the Fifth Element with him. He went home and I went to bed and the next day I was up at 6 and at work by 730. When I got to work I was informed that we are crazy for going to the coast for only a weekend. Jokes on them, this Thurs I'm taking off for WY!!! LMAO
