Anniversaries

This was hubbs and my week of anniversaries. The 22nd was the 2 year anniversary of our first date, and the 26th is our first anniversary of our marriage. I was joking to older sis that 4 days after our first dating anniversary we got married, but this year will be more chill. She responded with "maybe this year you'll get pregnant." And that, ladies and gents, is how my older sis both reminded me and confirmed that she REALLY wants a neice or nephew. Lol.

I took Monday off and took myself to the fort worth botanical gardens to enjoy the beautiful weather before TX turns on the blast furnace. It was a lovely day.
Tuesday hubbs and i went out to Chilis for some appetizers. Wednesday I worked more on his present 😁 Thursday was business as usual and Friday started the real celebration shenanigans. We spent most of Tuesdays date remembering this time last year when we were preparing to get married and all the craziness that happened. This year isn't as stressful.
I love this wine glass.

Friday we headed up to Grapevine to our hotel. We stopped at Gen X comics and 54th street grill on the way. The first for fun, the 2nd for FOOD! Checked into the hotel and then had a lovely surprise visit from my bestie! You know what that means... anamias!! Hehe, poor hubbs is resigned to having anamias when bestie or mo come into town. 🤪

So good!

It was a NICE room.

Saturday we had our mystery picnic. This company sends you clues about where to go, you go to the places and pick up whatever food is there for you (included) and once it's all done you go to a scenic location and have your picnic! We did downtown Grapevine since we went there at Christmas time and loved it!
The fruits of our labors.
So yummy!

A beautiful day.

Sunday we checked out of the hotel, went to Mass at St Francis of assissi, and came home to a VERY vocal void cat. He seemed less than thrilled with our absence. We have tomorrow off as well and then it's back to work for him and off to Abilene for me, as I'm going to a quality bootcamp. Should be interesting, for sure. I hope all of you are good and love on your pets cuz they put up with a LOT. Oh, and one last thing...
my pepper plant has a pretty flower.
