I also got the last of the prints from Erin Curry (the ends) to finish my wall. I love it. She's an amazing artist, check her out on insta, fb, or her shop at https://erincurryart.storenvy.com/
Shameless plug, I know, but I like supporting local artists.
I've been working thru my TBR pile, and on Thursday AM I decided to go thru my bookshelf and pick out everything that I haven't actually read yet.
It's kinda big, right? And I still want to add to it! I want the other 2 mead mishaps books, and I just placed a hold on a book called Asylum because an ad popped up for it on FB and it looked good! I also want to read another book by the guy who wrote The Wager, which the library does have, and is currently checked out. I finished the Wager in 2 days, it is very well written and while its likely a mix of what actually happened and artistic license, its a good read. I also placed holds on deep blue sea 1 and 2 just for funsies cuz bad shark movies are kinda my thing. Besides, LL cool J vs shark is fun!
We went to The Rim on Thursday. It was yummy!
Veggie quesadilla. We were in time for happy hour. 😁 not pictured is my wine. Then we went to HEB, got snacks, and came home. We spent the rest of the day being lazy.
The weekend was mostly lazy, I got to do a lot of reading.
We went to see the niece on sat, but she didnt really wake up to say hi. Hubbs just ended up dropping off some stuff for her. We got lunch at BJ's on Saturday and apparently I overdid it because I felt like CRAP when we got home after the Costco run. All I had was some of the spinach and artichoke dip, shrimp tacos and black beans! I keep forgetting that cheese is fatty, so I NEED to take my bile pills since the gallbladder was evicted. Sigh. So rude. So I decided to watch deep blue sea while hubbs watched news on the protests.
Someone woke me up on Sunday so I'd give him treats. On a related note, I truly don't know if Ace or the skull would win a staring contest.
Sunday funday. Mass, groceries, lunch, meal prep, cleaning the apt, and a partridge in a pear tree. I hope all of you are enjoying the weather, your good health, and some good food. Shout out to all the dads on this Father's day, especially mine, the only one I know who goes on vacation with a studfinder and calls working 40 hr weeks "retirement." 😁 goofy old man.
